I’ve reviewed research in this lesson that shows limiting glycemic load to be favorable for health and fat loss. And I’d like to point out that the habits you already have in place from prior lessons have already helped you take strides toward a low-glycemic diet. Eating mostly or all whole foods means that many high-glycemic foods such as rice cakes, muffins and cake are already minimized in your diet. As for foods that are unprocessed yet still have a high-glycemic index, such as white potatoes for example, the overall glycemic load is moderated by portion control. If you are practicing eating enough protein, fat and vegetables, there isn’t room for oversized servings of starches if you are stopping after Eating Just Enough.
